   Glass-PTFE antistatic belts

   The E-Glass fabric with cover from antistatic PTFE (mostly know as Teflon) are used in process with temperature of heating up to 260°C, to transport some material, that must not glue ot top of the belt.
   In apparel this type fabric is used in fusing presses and heat transfer presses
   We produce Glass-PTFE transport belts, seamed on size with suitable joint.

   This fabric is used also in: heat transfer printing, dry in finishing processes, some dry and warm processes in food procesion.

   Materials that we use are produced in Germany by "Vomatex".

   Some characteristics of used materials:
  1. Thickness 0.25mm.
  2. Minimal strain strength: 1500N/5сm.
    Maximal width: 1500мм. Application: Almost all fusing press.
  3. Thickness 0.35mm.
  4. Minimal strain strength: 3000N/5сm.
    Maximal width: 1500мм. Application: In fusing presses with big width for top garment.

   Joint types

  • Joint with overlaped

  • Variants: Overlap from 20mm. and 30mm.
    Application: Used mainly in presses with static strip-off mechanism (not rotating).
    Advantage: Extremly strength joint.
    Disadvantage: The joint will leave mark on some light materials, when the detail is placed over it. The way of rotation of the belt must be kept when the belt is installed.

  • Joint edge by edge

  • Variants:The joint is made with connection ribbon with width 25mm., 35mm. и 45mm., can be used different tickness of the connection ribbon - 0.15mm., 0.25mm. и 0.35mm. (the variant are selected regarding the each specific belt and machine construction).
    Application: When the joint must not leave mark on the material, when the detail is placed over it.
    Advantage: Smooth surface in zone of the joint
    Disadvantage: Must not be used on fusing presses with static strip-off mechanism (not rotating). The mechanism can act destructively on the joint.

   Joint types by angle

  • Straight joint

  • Application: Used on presses without automatic adjustment of the belt position.
    Advantage: Smooth temerature extensions over the whole lenght and width of the belt.
    Disadvantage: Higher loading of the joint. When is not adjust properly can tear.

  • Joint on angle ~12°

  • Application: Used on presses with automatic adjustment of the belt position.
    Advantage: Lower loading the joint.
    Disadvantage: Non prefered for fusing presses without automatic adjustment of the belt.

   Recommendations for exploitation

  • Working and in good condition strip off mechanism. In 70% of cases the tear of the belt is caused by strip off mechanism.
  • When the strip off mechanism is not rotation type, the strip off feather must be parallel to the shaft, without defects and without sharp edge. The feather must be as tangencial as posible to the shaft diameter. The preasure of the feather must be low as possible;
  • Friquently clean the belt with appropriate chemicals and fresh the belt with silicon oil with high viscosity.
  • Friquently check the bearings and bearing housing.
  • Check for defects over the shafts surface and remove the dirt from their surface.
  • Check the belt tension. The belts must not be overtension. They are only for transport.
  • Check the belt for defects. If there are defects on the belt, search for the reason that cause them and fix it, also the belt must be reapir if its possible.
